The Return of the Great Blue Heron II

Photo Report from our June ´08 Event at Gallery 6

First: Staying true to our mission of “keepin’ it totally real”, we stepped deep down into heartland Stapleton to harvest stage prop material from an original town house.

Our narrator and registrar Arrow gave his OK to rip original faded light-blue vinyl siding from his own home.

Which then was cut and re-assembled by the owner himself on site at the gallery.

Of course, we were concerned with the well being of our audience in preparing a potentially disturbing all-ages show. So we recreated a familiar and non-threatening environment, by adding a loose screen door through which the members of the Staten Island Freak Corps would enter the stage area.

To complete the cozy atmosphere, we added a rocking chair and a picnic blanket on the stage area. And now it looked like we were just about ready for the big day.  continue here ->
